Ladies & Gentlemen! The date is fast approaching – next Thursday Dec 7th at the fabulous St Leonard Pub – I will be making my first stage debut in 6 whole years!!! EEK! I won’t lie – I’ve was terrified at the prospect, and thought to myself “Have you lost your mind? What are you doing?” Mainly because I’ve been a bit under the weather and it has been 6 long years since I’ve graced a stage, except karaoke – and karaoke counts goddamnit! But I had an amazing rehearsal with my writing partner – keyboard virtuoso – Pete Z “King of Shag!” And after I listened back to our set I thought “Yeah! this sounds awesome! I can do this! This is fun!” I’m happy to say I’m feeling a lot better and excited to be working again in the powerful medium that is SOUND, so – it’s on!
I made a new lightbox too! Hoping to have that up and radiating Grande Illuminations. Myself, Pete & the wonderful Jo Perfect will be dropping killer tunes for you, and I am having another raffle on the night! This time I’m giving away Grande Dame Originals – but you have to be there to win. So come on down people and PARTY! Live show commences at 9pm – raffle at 9:45. So mark your date and be there to witness this rare spectacle that is Grande Dame LIVE and lets ring in the holiday season together and have some big fun! Click the pix or here for deets! Woo! oxo GD

I have been meaning to blog this for ages, but as I was working on a new animated vid for the last 4 months – everything in my life fell by the way side – oops! Anyhoo, the amazing neon light designer and all around glamour puss Rebecca Mason has opened up a new gallery in Folkestone called Sentient Rooms, and I am happy to say they are stocking my work! Super stoked to be showing in such a cool space with so many other rad artists! And pleased to tell you, that my work has been flying outta there! Yay! She really has a great eye and there are a lot of pieces that I would like to have in my home too. So, if you are in the Folkestone area, pop in and have a look! There is something for every taste and budget! More soon! oxo gd
There’s a new gallery in Brighton and I am very happy to be one of the represented artists. Whistleblower Gallery is Dan Hipkin’s new project. Dan is a super amazing guy and was the former head curator of ink-d Gallery, Brighton. It was Dan’s keen eye for upcoming talent that really helped put ink-d on the map. He curated shows for Ryan Callanan, Carrie Reichardt, Modern Toss, Eelus, James Cauty, Jake-Wood Evans, Eine, Jon Burgerman, Peter Kennard, Sir Peter Blake, Sarah Shaw, Dan Baldwin, Lady Aiko, Paul Scott, Matt Smith, Maria Rivans, Alex Binnie, Pinky, Petro, Jamie Hewlett, Ian Hodgson, Andy Doig, Snub, Sten & Lex, Req, and myself; as well as many more talented artists.
I sat down with him a few weeks back and discussed many things, from growing up in the deep south, to early influences, animation, embroidery and more! Click either pic or HERE to read. So excited to be a part of this new artist hub! Watch this space! oxo GD
I’m a week late with this post, as I like many others around the world have been distracted by the UK imploding on itself… But I was pleasantly surprised when I received a copy of the superbly printed Preserve Magazine by my friend Jack Booth. I am truly honoured to have been asked to be featured. There are several amazing works by many other inspiring artists inside too! I can honestly say I have never seen my work printed to such a high standard as Jack has accomplished in a magazine. The colors are spot on and the paper weight is SO LUSH! Seriously, these pages are good enough to frame and hang on the wall! Well done Jack! It’s really more like an artbook than a mag! And at £10 – a bargain! So Click HERE or the pix to get your copy! FAB! More soon! OXOGD
