Well, I’m not really in there, but the fashion mag they include (not sure of the name I never bought one!) with their Sunday paper did a tropical/ tribal/ colourful shoot with MTV Star Lilah Parsons. She’s wearing Terry de Havilland in all the pix. Above are my Tiffany in blue design, and I hafta say – they look effin awesome!! I just woke up from an amazing dream! I was shot out of a cannon from Hastings, smack dab in the middle of London, laughing & eating wonderful food with my dear friends The De Havillands and then I was wisked off for glamourous night of jokes and merriment at London’s Palladium with John Cooper Clarke and John Shuttleworth! But it wasn’t a dream it was real! And so much fun too! I wasn’t planning a trip there, but last thurs out of the blue I got a voicemail from John Cooper Clarke saying “Hey kid, your on the door plus one at my london show this sunday, no pressure..” I couldn’t believe it! It was so wild because I had just pulled out a Hire Car Print to post to him. I had it written on my weekly things to do list. I even thought about inscribing “sorry I missed your tour…” But now I didn’t have too! It really was a blast all the other acts were stellar, and I got to chat with him & his wife after wards and present him with my offering. How cool is that? eh?? BTW, Hire Car is one of his brilliant poems, which I became obsessed with 8 years back.. read about it here …
But that wasn’t all the excitement!! I also visited the Terry De Havilland Store and saw my work in neon lit glory, basking in the window!! How amazing is that?? It’s like a holy shrine, emitting powerful rays to future wearers and admirers… Wow! All I can say is – I have a wonderful life!! more soon! oxo gd

So excited! In just over a months time a Terry de Havilland pop up shop will be opening just off Carnaby Street in Newburgh Quarter. Shoes glorious shoes!!! Total High Heel Heaven!! The interior is being created by Graham Erickson and is inspired by the silver décor of Andy Warhol’s Factory. A Rock & Roll shoe paradise!! With classic Terry designs, plus limited editions too, and more!! The shop runs until July… More info at VOGUE. Stay tuned… oxo gd

Terry de Havilland spoke with Dazed Digital about the Spring/ Summer 2013 shoe collection and I gotta mention! Woop Woop! ” I also finally got the chance to work with my great friend Tiff McGinnis [aka Grande Dame] on oriental prints. We’ve had a mutual appreciation thing going on for a while and the timing was suddenly perfect for a collaboration. I love her sense of colour and the anarchy of her music and animations. Digital printing has come on in leaps and bounds since I first experimented with it, so I called her up and we went to work. I love the results. The shoes glow in UV light.

OMG! YAY! YAY! YAY! I’m in today’s Metro!!! Page 28! In the style section!!! See – Tiffany!! Ahhh, a mini milestone has been crossed! I have always wanted to be in the Metro. Yay! Yay! And again Yay! Been getting some more feedback on my Spring Summer 2013 shoe collaboration with Terry de Havilland!! Solitaire Style Fever said their favorite style was my Isis design!! And Style It Light said they were “in love with the Isis Wedge. Print design by the Fab Artist Grande Dame”. So there you have it! It’s official! I AM FAB! Yay! oxo gd
