It’s ON!!!!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting up with Chris Bracey of Gods Own Junkyard. If you don’t recognize the name, you are familiar with his work. He is a top lighting designer and has created many of the lights in SoHo, including the old Raymond Review Bar Sign! Lights for David LaChapelle, including the Hotel LaChapelle sign on his book, and even created the planet Krypton set in the original Superman Movie!! (His son was baby Superman!) As well as a plethora of lit works for other artists and designers – Vivienne Westwood, Agent Provocateur, Calvin Klein & many many more. And now he is helping me realize a life long dream!! I can’t believe it! Ever since I was a child I would go to the Chattahoochee Valley Fair and gaze at the lit magic. I even said to my mom, that is what I wanted to be when I grew up, a light designer. But how on earth do you get into that line of work? Luckily my dear friends Terry & Liz De Havilland put us in touch, so now I will see a life long dream come true!! You can see the lights too at my up coming show in March. More soon! oxo gd
